Summary

After all his loses Arnold makes a lists of many things such as favourite Basketball players, favourite food and more. Arnold then reconciliates with Rowdy, and they play a one on one Basketball game Rowdy acepts the fact that Arnold left the reservation. Arnold then figures that he belongs to many tribes "white" "indian" he is a multi tribal.

Quote Analysis

"Nervous means you want to play, scared means you dont want to play" Pg 181
In this part Rowdy is on the game with Arnold, and this phrase engage me because it contain a yoda style on it, and it is like a methaphor on certain point of view, like arnolod is being undirectly push to play. Arnold is scared and nervous so he is manipulate to do so.
"We thought this was an important story. We thought this was a story about a kid striking out his own, about a kid been courageous, and all you want to do is give us a grief." Pg 185

In this part Arnold is told by his rez friends like he is weak and he betraying his own people. First like the others thought like he was going to be important, he was goijng the strikeout his own ppeople (indians) he was going to be strong and win but he is just giving them pity. I tthink like he was just trying to reconziliate so I think his friends are being to harsh

Final Conclution

I dont like to read. First just a few existing books hook me and I read them. The only book was the illiad. This book was diffrent it contain a difrent lenguage for me and that make it funny, its uses of bad words makes me feel like if I am watching not reading. Its very similar to the diary of a wimpy kid so that make it funny and entreteining to read. It also was very funny bedcause all the drawings on the book make fun of something, like the author dosent give dam about his satire he just express in a so confident way that readers also dont care, so thats the reason that this book may hook.

Summary

As Arnold's enters a new school he  finds out that Penelope is anorexic, this make him approach her and a little romance begin. He also goes to the winter dance with her and his life seems to start changing. Also Gordy teaches him how to read. Arnold starts to feel like he is a part time Indian. Arnold also has a conversation with his father who convince him to try basketball, the coach helps him and he make it to the team. At his first game Arnold must play against his old school and he is knocked out by Rowdy, but on the rematch Arnold's team defeats them. Then Arnold start to suffer because members of his family such as his sister and grandma die.

In this part Arnold discovers that Penelope has anorexia and he says this quote that seem very funny like he do not care he like just screw the situation for his own benefit. It also has happen to me when I screw a girlfriend like she told me what are you looking at and I say a dumb a really dumb sexy girl"

"What are you waiting for, Play some D." pg 139

In this part is just simply an order of the coach but I relate to this, I play soccer and one time on a tournament my coach start and gave us a speech that inspired everyone but at the end we all stood their waiting and thinking an he just was like "what are you waiting to the field" so we were scared to hell and run their

Opinion And Reflection

Till now this book has being incredibly fun and I love how he behaves on hes new school he is like very noob but still he manages to survive. Personaly I will be incredibly scare if I am and Indian on a totally with school. Also I liked the scene of the basketball game were he fail hardly when being knocked out. I also think he follow his instinct with love and he is doing very good. And I expect that he reconciliats with Rowdy on the next chapters

Summary 

Arnold takes the advice very serioulsly and he ask his parents for a change of school. His parents are ok with it but hes friend rowdy disagrees and pisses off and kicks arnold on the face becoming his enemy. Arnold starts the on his new school and there he meets an blond hot girl named penelope but he is pick up by a kid name Roger. Push by all this Arnold kicks Roger who dosent fight back and starts to respect him. Arnold also becomes frien of the brainy on school a kid name Gordy.

Quote Analysis

"You always thought you were better than me", he yelled.

"No, no, I don´t think I´m better than anybody.  I think I´m worse than everybody else." Pg 52

In this part of the book Arnold is talking with his friend Rowdy about his departure from the book , since it will go to a white school . Rowdy disagrees because he thinks I should not go where the enemy , for this difference of ideas began to argue and Arnold says he feels he was never good at all. This should not be said that every person is valuable and useful for something, for example , Arnold is very good at drawing and creating cartoons .
I think that Arnold should not say this because it is cursed himself and no value was given


Conluction

I think Arnold did the right thing since in the reservation he was treat uwfully. First on the rez he was bully, everyone kick him and thats wrong siknce that might make him feel very bad. Second there he is jsut another black point in there whil.e in a white world he might be the only. So I think that this made encourage him to get out. I expect that on the white school he finds love or maybe he becomes an athlete.

The Introduction

Summary

The story starts when the narrator tells a story of his own, Junior is a kid that was born with many health problems including that he was born with water on his brain. Excluding his health problems he is a very good cartoonist. Junior lives in a indian reservoir and his family is extremly por and he tells a story of why his dog die beccause of them not being able to take him to th vet becasuse they dont have enough money. Also the narrator introduce us of his best friend a thought kid named Rowdy. After that Junior is suspended becuase he throw a book to his teacher face, Mr P. But Mr P then meets junior and encourages him to leave the reservoir.

"the bullies spin my head and point it with a finger and said I want to go there"

Junior in this part is telling how bullies poke fun on him, I perzonaly think that he may be bully but he dosent let it affect him. He like hides on hes drawings on certain way that he makes fun of serious situations. All people should be ike him like not giving a dam about it just make fun and jump through the problem

Analysis

This first chapters were very fun I have never read  some book in wich I laugh so much. It uses terms that are fun and i love that the book uses drawing specially it helps me to understand and helps me to do not feel so dumb but not so advance, alsothe drawings make fun of the situation and is like super fun that the drawings are true because the book is memoir. I dont like to read and this book was recomnded by a teacher and I first thought that it will suck but I was wrong because this book engage me.

After saving the world Percy spends the rest of the summer living in camp Half-Blood as a great hero, but hes still on the limb of dessicion to stay onthe camp or return to his mom who lives in Queens. On the last day of camp Percy go into the woods and find his friend luke reveals to him that he was the original thieft and that he works for Kronos who wants to defeat the Olympians and rule again. Then he vanishes and leaves a scorpion who sting Percy and almost kill him but the nymphs of the woods took him to safty and his theacher a centaur name Chiron cures hi, then Percy decides to return to his mom and leaves the camp to leave his seventh grade year with his mom.

Quote Annalysis

 "You won't try anything stupid during the school year, will you? At least ... not without sending me an Iris-message?" Pg 389
In this part annabeth is saying goodbye to Percy, and she is also saying to him to never do something stupid uring school year but never without her, I will like to have one of those that help me on doing stupid things at home like pranks to my beiful and innocent little sister also I like the way the the author describes annabeth rom the begening as a rebel son of thena cool demigod.

"I'll be back next summer," I promised him. "I'll survive until then. After all, I am your son." I asked Argus to take me down to cabin three, so I could pack my bags for home. Pg 390

This is the last phrase on the book and I choose it because It is the final thing youre hearing is very interesting to hear that an also I loved the way the author ends the book and how percy says he willreturn to the camp and making it fun its great.

Final Thoughts And Conclutions

What can I say after this was a great book, I have never liked to read but I was attached to this book for many reasons such as that I like greek mythology and couriosly the 2 books I have ever be attached to are of greek mythology. I  also liked the book because I think it was very fun to see Percy make this whole adventure just to help his dad and its fun to read all the things he got to pass throught just to arrive to his destiny, through all USA passing throught monsters Las Vegas crazy hotel, just to arrive to the underworld and find out Hades does not have the bolt and the have to return all the way and get o 600th floor and the sting by scorpions. Personaly I like this book and I give it and 9 star rating and I hope the 2nd is about a revive of  kronos.

Percy and his friends retuerns the helm of darkness to the underlworld and then takes a plan back to New York where he has to find mount olympus. Percy finds moount olympus on the 600th floor of the Empire State Building when he gets in there he meets Poseidon and Zeus the he tells them everything he knows and he tells them he suspects that Kronos the king of the titans and father of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades is behind it band and its palnning to start a war and unleash a big war on all olympians and greek gods, Then Percy then say he has dreams of Kronos. Zeus ignores him but Poseidon congratulates him for his sucsess.

Quote Analysis

In this part of the book Percy and Annabeth are talking about a Beach in bahamas and the annabeth suddenly say that that place is just for heroes like if percy is not one on  my point of view in this quote the author tries to explain that maybe annabeth dosent think percy is ready to go there on my point of view.

"I know!" she shouted. "The place you described in your dream! But Grover's going to fall if we don't catch him." She was right, of course. Grover's predicament got me moving again. Pg 318

In this part grover is in danger of falling through and percy then remebers that thisplace is what he saw in his dreams but thats not the time SAVE GROVER  Also here the author make something interesting to connenct a situation with another and that cool.

Thoughts and Conclutions

I like this chapters personaly, but I didnt like somehing that is that mount olympus is on the 600th floor of the empire state it just was extreamly ridiculous, I just think that they have no more ideas and they addapt this in to the story but Rick Riordan gets points for creativity but getting to mount Olympus on an elevator is dumb, I would like it to be more fun like a portal or something better like climbing a mountain and at the peak on the clouds a rock path that leads to mount Olympus were all the gods are sitting. but still it was very creative so I will not say more. I also like the part when they talk to Zeus and Poeidon because Rick Riordan touches the theme of the king of titans Kronos creating a problem for bookm number 2

Percy and his friends arrive to the underworld were they find out Hades does not have the MasterBolt and wrst his power symbol the helm of darkness is missing. Hades acusses Percy of steeling both the MasterBolt and the Helm Of Darkness. Hades says that Poseidon is hungry for power and when things can get possibly worst the MasterBolt appears magicly in his backpack, Percy and his friends mannage to escape when Hades explodes on wrath, after that they encounter Ares on Santa Monica Beach. Percy then discovers that Ares stole the MasterBolt and Helm Of Darkness from the unknown original thieft. Also Ares was trying to unleash the biggest war of all time between the big 3 Zeus Hades and Poseidon, also Percy battles Ares winning The helm.

Quote Analysis

I choose this quote because in the highlight phrase there is an onnomatopeya and it is a bit strange to find them in this book. The author uses onnomatopeya to describe and situation with annabeth and some type of riddle according to what I understand.
"I should've told you the truth from the beginning." His voice trembled. "I thought if you knew what a failure I was, you wouldn't want me along." Pg 256 
In this part grover tells the truth about when he try to rescue Talia but he fail, so he didnt tell the thruth from the begening because of his fear of being the satyr who fail. Also in this quote the author makes a conversation on 1 phrase and thats very good.

Thoughts and Conclutions

I personaly like these parts of the book but not so much as the others (last blog for more) Also this chapters I earn more about gods and there power symbols, for examplle Zeus gots the thunderboltt, Hades the helm, Poseidon the trident, ares the bronze spear. But thats not all also in the greek mythology there are pets for the gods such as the peacock of Era and mot famous Hades tree headed dog the cancerberus. Unfortunely this books touch more the theme of ower symbols. I liked this chapters and I love the part when they question Ares and discover he is the 2nd thief. Also this chapters talk more about legends such as Talia the daughter of zeus who dided and also that a styr ffail on rescue her.
